乾坤鏡

金翅鳥享盡福樂，欲下凡經歷人間世，因此變作新任知府杜雙承。神州三年大旱，闔家歡慶雙承升官之時，忽接聖旨奉命到斷魂崖拿取一面「乾坤鏡」，以降服龍王治大旱。由於任務艱鉅，雙承與妻子月惜私謀脫身，然而姐姐雙儀以死相諫，曉以大義，希望弟弟取得該鏡，以濟天下蒼生。雙承夫婦含淚上路，並得友人駱琦伴隨。駱琦於旅途中墮崖而亡，雙承不支昏倒，月惜捨命喂血。醒後奮力上路，終取得寶鏡。回國途中，雙承遇到兩絕色豔姝而困於情網，欲終老於仙窟，竟忘記身負重任。雙儀、月惜、駱琦之鬼魂紛至責難，雙承靈台驟明，決志出家修行，寡欲清心。

Mirror of the Universe

The deity Garuda has enjoyed all kinds of happiness in heaven and wants to experience the joys of the human realm. Garuda turns into a human being named Du, a newly appointed magistrate. The Chinese land is suffering from a three-year drought. At the party celebrating his promotion, Du receives an imperial decree that orders him to take back the Mirror of the Universe to the God of Rain and so end the drought. Not wishing to undertake this arduous task, Du and his wife, Yuexi, plan secretly to run away; however,Du’s sister, Shuangyi, strongly urges him to get the mirror and save the people. The couple, accompanied by their friend, Luoqi, set off on their mission.

On the way, Luoqi falls off a cliff and dies while Du loses consciousness. Yuexi sacrifices her life to feed her husband with her own blood. After coming to himself, Du resumes his quest and finally retrieves the mirror. On his way home, he encounters two beautiful women and forgets about his task while staying in their caves. After the ghosts of Shuangyi, Yuexi and Luoqi come, one after another, to blame him for his behavior, Du finally comes to his senses and completes his task.
