Prof. Anthony Seeger, Senior Researcher and Honorary Curator of the Center for Cultural Heritage and Folklore at the Smithsonian Institution, visited the Center to share his knowledge and experience in preserving cultural relics and provide advice on how the Center preserves Chinese music and opera archives. Prof. Seeger has been committed to the issues of human rights and traditions of Brazilian Indians for many years. At the same time, he also plays an important role in the research of professional fields such as collection and intellectual property rights, intangible cultural assets, and folk theory and methods. He is currently a senior researcher and honorary curator of the Center for Cultural Heritage and Folklore at the Smithsonian Institution; honorary director of Smithsonian Folkways Recordings, a world-renowned world music record company; and a distinguished honorary professor at the Institute of Ethnic Music at the University of California, Los Angeles.
